Instrument loan scheme

Congleton Youth Orchestra owns a number of musical instruments that are available to any member of the Orchestra to loan (subject to availability) free of charge.

 

This is the perfect way for new musicians to try different instruments to see which one they are best suited to; or for experienced musicians to spread their skills to another instrument that would like to try, without the need to purchase or enter into expensive loan agreements. 

In 1998 we were fortunate enough to be awarded a Lottery Grant from the Arts Council of England to enable us to purchase a range of quality musical instruments.

Further instruments were purchased following another successful grant application, this time from the HBOS Foundation in 2003 and 2005. Instruments have also been donated by members of the general public from time to time.
