Orchestra Representative
Lili Cooper
I’m Lili. I joined the Intermediates in June 2022 – nearly four years ago. I started out on the alto saxophone and was welcomed with open arms by the orchestra. The tutors and trustees supported me in my transition to the flute, and then to the Seniors in January 2024. Since then, I have enjoyed playing all the music we have been given and working through challenging pieces with the friends I have made along the way. For the 2025 Christmas concert, I was given the opportunity to play the piccolo, and I am so grateful for it. I can’t wait to represent this amazing orchestra and the musicians who play by my side.

Orchestra Representative
Beth Roberts
Hi, I’m Beth. I’m 14 and I’ve been a member of CYO since January 2023. I started playing the flute nearly six years ago, and joining CYO has really helped me progress and build my confidence in playing, all the way up to Grade 8 (which I would have struggled to do without these amazing people!). I began in the intermediate orchestra, then moved up to the seniors in January 2024. Since then, I’ve started playing the piccolo, and I recently joined the National Youth Orchestra Inspire programme. I’m hoping to audition soon! I’m truly so grateful to everyone here at CYO and for all the wonderful friends I’ve made, and I’m excited to continue playing here.

I became a CYO chaperone in 2016 and was appointed to the post of Designated Safety Officer in January 2021.

Yuki Kagajo
My name is Yuki and both my children play violin in the orchestra. I am a musician as well - I teach piano at home in Alsager and at two private schools in Shropshire. I also sometimes professionally perform.
In addition to piano music I love orchestral music. I often go to concerts by the BBC Philharmonic, having a few friends playing in there.
